Now is the time for us to celebrate an American solution that guarantees quality, affordable health care coverage for everyone. I will only vote for and support elected leaders in state, local, and federal office who make reforming our health care system a top priority.
Health care reform must ensure:
- Quality health care for everyone with a choice of doctors and plans, without gaps in access or coverage, and a delivery system that meets everyone’s needs;
- Preventive care that promotes health and eliminates economic and racial disparities;
- Controlled costs by providing care that is cost-efficient and medically effective; and
- Financing that is fair with responsibility shared by employers, individuals, and government.
